It's down over 200 points and it's not even completely open yet. Maybe the Dems. Will pass another payoff bill to their cronies and get the DOW down to 8. 000 by the end of the week. The only reason the DOW went up recently is because investors figured the GOP would take Congress. After looking around, I learned — So what if it does? You do realize the stock market has little bearing on the day to day economic picture for over 90% of Americans right?

If the Dow or Nasdaq is up or down whay does this mean. I was happy to learn… Hearing the *averages* of either the Dow or NASDAQ gives you an overall picture on what the stock market is doing. I personally have never found it very useful. Mike Honeycutt
